Introduction

Tourist free Library is a complex with different functions. All these  try to answer Tourists Questions about Iranian Art, Architecture, Culture and civilization. Tourists who want to know more about these subjects can find here films, books or other documents in their language. 

Library building is one of heritage buildings in Yazd that have lots of Iranian architecture eliments(wind tower, Talar, rendering and stucco). This house is bought in 2014 by Mohsen Rafeiean, expert estimate that it is more than 250 year’s old. The building originally established in Qajar era. And know is under renovation.

Wer wir sind

Das Kultur café ist ein Ort, an dem Sie die Besonderheiten der islamischen Architektur und die Herzlichkeit der iranischen Kultur kennenlernen können. In unserer kleinen Bibliothek können sie in aller Ruhe bei einer Tasse Kaffee oder Rosenwasser Bücher über Iran in verschiedenen Sprachen lesen. Auch finden Sie bei uns traditionelle Handwerkskunst wie Teppiche und Töpferei.

Das Kulturcafé befindet sich in einem traditionellen Haus aus dem 18Jahrhundert, das wir mit Hilfe der Einnahmen originalgetreu wieder aufbauen. Der Initiator des Kulturcafés Mohsen Rafiean ist ein Fachmann für islamische Architektur und Dozent für Stadtplanung an der Universität Yazd. Yazd, Iran.

Culture café Opened in library

The Culture café is a place where you can explore the beauty of Islamic architecture and the hospitality of Iranian culture. In our small library you can find books about a diversity of Iranian topics in your language. You can read and spend time here over a cup of coffee or rose water. We also exhibit traditional handicraft such as carpets and pottery.

The Culture Café is itself located in a traditional 18th century Yazdi house which we are currently rehabilitating according to the original style with the help of the revenues of the café. The initiator of the Culture Café, Mohsen Rafiean, is an expert on Islamic architecture and a lecturer in Urban Planning at the University of Yazd.
